FAQ's

1. Why should I have my Land Rover or Jaguar serviced at JC's? / Why specialize in a few brands?

Specialization enables us to be the best at what we do. From special tools and equipment to specialized training. All so that we can serve you better.

2. Do we work on other vehicles?

Yes, primarily 2005 and newer Jaguar as well as other European brands: BMW & Audi, for example. In addition for our existing clients we will work on any of your vehicles. We are here 1st and foremost for our customers, no matter the vehicle.

3. Do you sell parts?

Yes! We will sell any of our stocking parts over the counter and even some special order parts as well.

4. Will you install customer supplied parts?

In general - NO. This is due to multiple factors including liability and insurance reasons, warranty issues, and our ability to perform the best service we can.** Some accessories are not an issue and we will install them for you. Be sure to check with our service department 1st. We may even be able to accept the shipment here for you.**

5. Do you sell vehicles?

Yes! We have expanded into used vehicle sales since 2018. All of our used vehicles go through a thorough inspection and repair process before being listed for sale. Our goal is to deliver the best possible used vehicle we can.

6. What about Pre-Purchase inspections

Absolutely! We highly recommend a pre-purchase inspection for any vehicle, and especially for any European and late model vehicle. Our bumper-to-bumper inspection includes a road test, a visual inspection under hood and under car, a general check for fault codes, and a full written estimate for any items that need to be addressed.

7. What are the typical service intervals on a Land Rover?

This used to be an easy answer, prior to the ’03 Range Rover, all models had major service intervals of 30k miles with little more than an oil change in between. Now with newer models the service intervals are more varied and cover different items – it is best to check your owner’s manual recommendations (which can be found on our Services Page).

8. What parts are used in repairs? OEM etc.?

JC’s uses Land Rover Genuine and top-tier aftermarket parts. We are very skeptical of aftermarket parts and have spent years determining what brands we are willing to use.

9. Can JC's perform warranty work on my Range Rover?

Extended warranties are welcomed, and we will work with them to the best of our ability.
Unfortunately, we are unable to perform any manufacturer’s original warranty work. 

10. What services does JC's provide? (Service, custom builds, etc)

We want to be your one-stop shop for all your Land Rover needs. General maintenance, service and repairs are the majority of our work. We also install Lift kits, aftermarket bumpers, winches, skid plates, and other accessories. Custom work is offered on a case-by-case basis and requires a consultation visit so we can help plan out the job with you.

11. What type of Guarantees do you provide?

JC's standard warranty is 24 months / 24k miles parts & labor for vehicles less than 20yo, and 12 mo / 12k miles parts & labor for vehicles over 20yo. 
* Some parts may hold longer warranties
* Extended warranties may be available
* Used/salvage part warranties are typically 30-60 days, as offered by the supplying salvage yard *

12. What car {LR} maintenance should an owner do?

Great Question! While most newer vehicles have warning lights and monitors to help keep a driver informed, it is always a good idea to check fluids and tire pressures regularly.

13. How can I get a job with JC’s?

While openings are rare with our great team, we're always interested in hearing from experienced technicians and advisors with Land Rover and European vehicle training. Please email me at [email protected] with your resume.

14. How long can I leave my vehicle there?

Due to the limited parking on our lot, and the labor required to move or shuffle vehicles around for access. JC’s British & 4x4 charges $35 per day for any waiting period of 3 days or more (be it while waiting for authorization for repairs, or after completion of work performed).

15. Can I make payments over the phone for my vehicle service?

We prefer not to take your credit card information over the phone, and instead, have offered a payment portal page on our website. This secure page enables you to make a payment to us without having to share your credit card information. 

In addition, we can send secure payment requests through our point of sale that are linked directly to your account with us.
