JC's British & 4X4 - Service Center
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a “reputable” service shop. I took my vehicle here knowing I would be paying a higher price then average shop on the assumption that I would be getting quality work done and that my vehicles issue would be resolved. I took my vehicle in for what you guys diagnosed as a faulty valve block, I give the okay to rebuild my valve block, then I’m told it’s not rebuildable. I am then told they have a quality used valve block that they can rebuild and install in my vehicle. I pay over $1800 for this service no questions asked trusting I have been taken care of. I later find a brand new unopened set of valve block gaskets in my truck so either the valve block was never rebuilt or there was two of valve block gasket sets ordered for some reason. Also experience intense wobbling on my drive home from pick up, pull over and find virtually all my wheels are not torqued down properly, I’m told the wheels where not take off by the shop even though when I drove the truck to the shop I experienced no wobble and I don’t know how it’s possible to properly inspect the air bags and lines for leaks without removing the wheels. Not even 100 miles later the air suspension has failed and I take it back to see the issue. I am told the valve block solenoid is faulty, this is part of the valve block I paid to have installed that was supposedly in good condition. When asked what can be done I was told I’d have to order a brand new valve block even though I just paid $1800 to rebuild and install one that was in house. Essentially I paid over $1800 for a bad block and still have no working air suspension. I was told to try and take the solenoids apart myself to see if that fixes the issues and was also told that unplugging the air compressor would cause issues and not to do it, this makes absolutely no sense because the air compressor has to be disconnected to have access to the bottom two solenoids. Either way if I paid for the block to be rebuilt and the solenoids where not rebuilt or lubricated the shop should have done that not told me drive it home and do it myself. I am extremely upset with the the service, the solution to the problem my vehicle had after visiting the shop and the fact I paid over $1,800 and gained nothing. I will be posting this review on google and recommending friends with Rovers to stick to the LR dealership moving forward.
